Tübingen is convenient to the A8, A81, B27 and B28.If arriving from the north, take the A8 to the junction with the B27 (near Stuttgart airport) and then turn south along the B27 for approximately 30 km. Take the exit marked klinikum and follow the signs for the „kunsthalle“ (Art Gallery) and Nord Ring. If arriving from the South, exit the A81 at Rottenburg and follow the signs for Tübingen. Once in Tübingen, follow directions to the „kunsthalle“ and then use the enclosed maps to reach our location from the Nord Ring. By Rail Top The most convenient station is Tübingen Hauptbanhof. Timetables and onward connections can be obtained from www.bahn.de. There are regular express services from Stuttgart which take approximately 40 minutes to arrive in Tübingen. Taxis from Tübingen station take about 5 to 10 minutes and cost about Euro 8. By Air Top Stuttgart international airport is the nearest major airport, however, Frankfurt, Zurich and Baden Baden may offer useful alternatives. The rail connection from Frankfurt international to Tübingen requires two hours and may require a change at Mannheim and Stuttgart other airports are less directly connected by public transport From Stuttgart: Taxis hired at the airport can cost up to Euro 50 to Tübingen. If you wish to take a taxi please call in advance and we can arrange or suggest a company. An hourly bus service to Tübingen (828 airport sprinter, no service after 19.00) is also available. If you hire a car, take the B27 in the direction of Tübingen. Synovo is about 30 minutes from Stuttgart airport by car or 50 minutes by bus. From Baden Baden: There is a bus service to Stuttgart train station that is coordinated with flights. Alternatively, hire a car and take the A5 north to the A8, then East toward Munich. Exit on to the B27 (signed Tübingen) just prior to the airport exit. From Frankfurt: Walk to the „Fernbahnhof“ and look for trains to either Mannheim or Stuttgart (which may be en route to Munich). Multilingual assistance will be available at the ticket and information desks. A one way ticket to Tübingen will cost about Euro 50. |
