Synovo is a research-driven drug discovery and service company in Tübingen, founded in 2004. We carry out preclinical drug research in inflammation, immunology, oncology, CNS (central nervous system) and infectious diseases, and work with academic and industry partners worldwide. We are looking for a veterinarian to serve as our Animal Welfare Officer (Tierschutzbeauftragte/r) and safeguard animal welfare across our preclinical research.
Your tasks
Contribute to animal-study licence applications and prepare statements on applications
Independently monitor compliance with regulations, conditions and requirements across a range of experimental settings
Communicate with the licensing and supervisory authorities
Advise the facility and research staff
Promote the scientific development and introduction of methods and tools that improve research processes
Take part in hygiene and health monitoring
Organise and deliver training and continuing-education sessions
Support applications for research funding
Your qualifications
University degree in veterinary medicine, ideally with the specialist qualification in laboratory animal science (Fachtierarzt für Versuchstierkunde), which can also be obtained with us
Proven experience in laboratory animal science
German at C1 level or higher
An affinity for research and experience in scientific work
Team player with empathy and strong communication skills
A strong sense of responsibility and a goal-oriented, self-directed way of working
Knowledge of experimental design and data processing, including biostatistics

To strengthen our team of chemists, biologists, biochemists and pharmacists in Tübingen, we are looking for a veterinarian to lead or support research projects in drug discovery and development, including the associated biomarker and surgical work.
Your qualifications
PhD or equivalent degree in veterinary medicine
Experience in small-animal practice
Ideally, direct experience with experimental procedures and disease models, small-animal surgery, pathophysiology, pathology or toxicology
Excellent team spirit and communication skills

We are looking for a facility manager for technical building management across our three sites in Tübingen, with a focus on ventilation and HVAC. You will keep the building systems our scientists depend on running reliably.
Your tasks
Operate and monitor the building management systems, including air quality, temperature and humidity
Carry out or coordinate filter changes, cleaning and repair of ventilation ducts and fans
Meet hygiene standards and run the required hygiene inspections
Optimise the systems for energy efficiency to reduce operating costs
Keep maintenance records
Help plan a new ventilation system together with a ventilation engineer
Handle general caretaker tasks and keep in good contact with tenants
Your qualifications
Experience as a building technician, ideally with a focus on ventilation and HVAC
Knowledge of building management and control systems (MSR)
An independent working style with strong communication and teamwork
Willingness to take on varied tasks and learn new areas
Good German is an advantage
